Your Family Story… Is Everyone’s Story

Almost all of us come from somewhere, often far away, often when the getting here was an epic struggle that took bravery and a faith in the future.

Please share your family’s story of bravery and faith, regardless of where they started or when they came, because all of our stories are vital to understanding who we are as a community and who we are as a country.

Tell us your family story, or just one aspect of it, in around 500 words. Please include up to three photos. We will publish as many stories and photos as we can on this website and on our social media pages as we celebrate who we are as a community.

All submitted stories will be kept in the Hearthstone archives at the end of the Gemeinschaft: Lessons from German Immigration and Integration exhibit.

In this way, your family’s story becomes a part of Hearthstone’s story… and will be preserved for generations to come.
