We are celebrating this year…
The hard work of our over one hundred active volunteers.
The hard work of the staff and Board.
The fact that almost 10,000 guests will visit again this year.
That our theatrical performance Sequential Killers of the Victorian Age - Season Eight raised a record $19,963 in October through the marvelous efforts our our talented volunteer actresses and actors.
That we have raised more money through individual donations in the last 6 months than we did in the entirely of last year.
That the three-year complete window restoration of 126 interior sashes and 63 storm windows will be wrapped up this spring.(There are only 10 interior windows left!)
That our 20 college and adult interns, under the guidance of our curator Lynne Phillips, are already half way through The Big Project, meaning they have researched and digitally catalogued more than half of the museum’s over 10,000 artifacts.
That our outreach in the community has expanded through
Operation Everybody with the goal of the funding of field trips to Hearthstone from all AASD Title 1 schools including paying for their admissions and busing costs!
Museums for All which provides free admissions for a family of four with their SNAP card.
Partnerships with the Appleton, Menasha, and Neenah Public Libraries so that anyone with a library card can check out a pass to Hearthstone for their family.
That just earned revenue will support all museum operations and most of the staff salaries year-in and year-out for years to come.
That the museum will finish in the black this year.
That new procedures and an a new accounting firm are in place to safeguard our operations.
That we have set records for the number of school tours this Fall and Winter and, for the first time, have are sold out many of the upcoming weeks.
That the museum offers a new tour, a new event, or a new exhibit every month.
That Hearthstone is listed Number 1 Thing To Do in Appleton on TripAdvisor!
